Stephanie Ghislain is an expert in East Asia and EU Public and External Affairs. Before joining Polint in January 2011, she has served as an Attaché in the Security Policy Department of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the EU Belgian Presidency. There she worked mainly on NATO and OSCE-related matters, but also on CSDP and EU-NATO relations. She is a Belgian political scientist, with a particular focus on both EU Foreign Policy and North-East Asia. While she studied International Relations at ULB (Brussels, Belgium), she had the opportunity to participate in a student exchange with the International Christian University in Tokyo where she studied mainly Asian international relations and Conflict resolution. After that, she focused on the European Union by completing two Masters in European studies, one at ULB using a multi-disciplinary approach and one at College of Europe (Brugge, Belgium) with an emphasis on External Relations and Diplomacy of the EU. Stephanie is not associated with the EIAS.
In addition to her native French, Stephanie is fluent in English and Dutch and speaks a bit of Japanese and Spanish.
